Zhang Yan’s research group aims to understand the roles of O-glycan transferase (ppGalNAc-T) and O-glycosylated protein play in physiological and pathological processes, and exploiting this information for development of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for human disease.We use molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, proteomics, metabonomics & systematic approach for glycobiology study in cancer and other diseases.
We have several state research programs ,and also collaborate with Japan National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in novel diagnosis technology study for the glycan biomarker of human disease.
